I have been a photographer most all of my life, ever since my parents handed me my first Kodak 110 film camera when I was five years old. My pursuit of landscape photography was inspired by my Dad and Grandad, spending time hiking, camping, and backpacking in the Colorado wilderness. Cameras were necessary gear when heading out for mountain therapy, and to this day I hardly travel without one.  My interest in photography as an art and hobby grew in my teens with my best friend. His Dad had a darkroom in their basement, stocked with an abundance of black and white film, papers, projector and chemicals for development. Our subjects were the the railroads that ran throughout Colorado and Utah, and they were always on the move, which meant the landscape we found our selves in was always changing and became the subject as well. Around 2005 my photo hobby took another leap forward with the purchase of my first digital SLR camera. Suddenly the darkroom moved from the basement and into my computer, opening a whole new world of creative possibility. My hunger to learn more and to chase the light on the landscape continues to grow with the evolution of digital photography to this day. As a native of Colorado, I enjoy some past times you might expect; hiking, camping, mountaineering, hunting, and fishing, all of these things place me out in beautiful places, and I seek to capture these tiny moments of wilderness in my photography, ever hunting for the perfect moment and perfect light.
